Episode 1
Di Renjie traveled to the Western Regions and got a certificate of passing the examination. After many years, he finally returned to Chang'an, but he didn't want to go home. He stayed at Juxing Inn. Hong Liang wanted Di Renjie to take the imperial examination, so he secretly visited Wei Wuji. Di Renjie guessed from the locust flowers on Hong Liang's head that he had been to the Imperial Academy. Hong Liang had to admit that he had indeed been to Wubenfang and hoped that Di Renjie would take the imperial examination, but Di Renjie was not interested in it. Hong Liang reminded Di Renjie that he had owed a lot of money to get the certificate of passing the examination. Di Renjie still had to eat and drink. Seeing the owner scolding the young man who was hungry with water, he specially asked the waiter to send a Hu pancake to the young man to eat, reminding the owner not to be too much even if he urged the rent, and he also put all the accounts of these people on Hong Liang. Uninvited guests suddenly came to Juxing Inn. The official received a tip-off that someone was trading in the inn, and brought people to catch the thief who stole the night pearl. Di Renjie continued to eat. When he saw the official asked him to stand up, he took the initiative to hand him a Hu pancake. Such a sensible behavior made the official turn a blind eye to him and let him continue to drink soup and eat pancakes. The official called everyone out, and seeing that no one admitted to stealing, he planned to take everyone away. Seeing this, Hong Liang hurriedly spoke up and said that the imperial examination tomorrow could not be delayed. In this way, all the candidates who were preparing for the examination in the inn objected. The official didn't know what to do for a while. At this time, someone on the second floor of the inn wanted to leave quietly. The official immediately stopped him. The man continued to escape. The official asked someone to stop him, but the man was so skilled in martial arts that the official couldn't take him down at all. He was almost injured. Di Renjie rescued the official, injured the man and left him. He determined that the man was not a thief, but a Tang soldier stationed in the Western Regions for many years. He wanted to escape because he was a deserter and didn't have a written certificate. Seeing his identity exposed, the deserter said sadly that his mother was seriously ill and he just wanted to come back to see her. Di Renjie analyzed each person based on the check-in list registered by the store owner and concluded that none of them could have committed a crime. He finally locked in the new accountant who was not on the list, as well as the store owner. The accountant shouted that he was innocent, but Di Renjie was not deceived by him. The officials seized the accountant and the store owner who was also suspected. Di Renjie recalled the micro-movements of the accountant he had seen before, and speculated that the night-shining pearl was on the abacus, so he asked someone to smash the abacus in the accountant's hand, but he did not find the night-shining pearl. Di Renjie quickly thought of the store owner's abacus. This time, after wiping it, the night-shining pearl appeared. The store owner shouted that he was innocent and broke out in a cold sweat. At this time, Di Renjie used water to test the abacus, and the abacus in the fake accountant's hand was the store owner's, because a layer of oil floated on the water, which was caused by the store owner's daily work. The fake accountant did not expect that he had been stealing for more than ten years and failed in Chang'an, so he could only admit his defeat. When Di Renjie saw the official escorting the deserter away, he pleaded with the official, hoping that he would show some leniency to the deserter. He Dajing was a good friend of Di Renjie when he was young. When the two met by chance on the street after not seeing each other for many years, He Dajing was being chased by the son of the Minister of War. Di Renjie went to save He Dajing and offended the son of the Minister of Personnel. He was arrested by the official, but fortunately he met Wei Wuji, and under his guarantee, he was soon released in one piece. Wei Wuji had high hopes for Di Renjie and He Dajing, and asked them to take the imperial examination well. The two respectfully agreed. Although Hong Liang had a lot of opinions about Ma Rong and Qiao Tai, it was clear that the two were also arrested, but he still made some efforts to get them out. Di Renjie heard the conversation between Ma Rong and Qiao Tai and asked them to be careful when they spoke. In just a few words, it was revealed that the two had killed people and robbed things. If he were an official, he would arrest the two and interrogate them. The reason why Qiao Tai and Ma Rong gathered in the street to gamble this time was because they knew that Di Renjie owed a lot of money for the disc, and they wanted to help pay it back. They knew that Di Renjie was principled, so they quickly admitted their mistakes and promised not to make them again. In the end, the money was collected by Hong Liang, which made Di Renjie laugh. After He Dajing finished the exam, he took Di Renjie to drink. Di Renjie noticed a special-looking horse, which was the one he saw in the examination room today, and he couldn't help but pay attention to it. He Dajing knew nothing about it. When he saw Di Renjie heard Bingzhou Xiaoqu, he went in to have a drink regardless of the fact that Jushuilou was closed today. The owner had to receive them. Unexpectedly, both of them drank too much. When Di Renjie was drunk, he found that Jushuilou seemed to have a secret door. Unexpectedly, Jushuilou caught fire that night.
Episode 2
Di Renjie was awakened with his whole body covered in black. Eight of the nine people died in the fire and he was the only survivor. The county magistrate ordered Di Renjie to be captured. He wanted to close the case by saying that Jushui Tower was on fire due to heavenly fire, but Di Renjie disagreed because he was in the building and knew that the fire started from inside. The county magistrate wanted to make Di Renjie take the blame on the grounds that Di Renjie was the only survivor. Naturally, Di Renjie refused. Just as the county magistrate was about to execute him, Hong Liang, who saw Di Renjie being dragged away on the street, asked Wei Wuji to come. Seeing that Master Wei came in person, the county magistrate naturally had to give him some face, but he was also worried that if Di Renjie escaped, his case would not be closed, so he refused to let him go. Wei Wuji was well aware of Di Renjie's intelligence and abilities. Seeing that Di Renjie was determined to find the truth about the death of He Dajing, he personally acted as a guarantor and put black iron shackles on Di Renjie. At the same time, he agreed to the county magistrate's request and asked Di Renjie to report the progress every day. Only then did he bailed out Di Renjie and let him get to the bottom of the case. Di Renjie went to the morgue for an autopsy and found that seven out of the eight bodies were black. He then thought about the fact that the bodies were taken care of by the singing girls in Ju Shui Tower, and that the only clean female corpse had the key to the palace on her body and the sachet in her hand was also very delicate, which was not something that ordinary people could afford. He immediately asked Qiao Tai and Ma Rong to find the group that bought the sachets, while he sneaked into Ju Shui Tower to investigate the scene and found that the door was locked from the outside. Following his memory of that night, Di Renjie found the room behind the secret door and found that it was still intact. He then thought of the Jinwu Guards that he had been searching recently, and combined with what Qiao Tai said about the sachet containing the queen's favorite incense, he determined that Yaxin was the palace maid in the queen's palace, so he went to beat the drum in front of the Jinwu Guards. After confirmation, Yaxin was indeed the person they had been looking for, and he immediately conducted a thorough investigation of Pingkangfang. Qiao Tai and Ma Rong went to the streets to collect miscellaneous news. Ma Rong could not change her bad habit of stealing. She would take some things from every stall she came to. She stole a bag along the way. She packed a plate of snacks and planned to give it to Di Renjie. When she learned that Di Renjie was not there, she went to Hong Liang to show her courtesy, wanting to know what kind of person Di Renjie was. When she learned that Di Renjie lost both his parents when he was young and was the only son, she could not help but feel some sympathy. Although Hong Liang was a loyal servant of the Di family, he only knew that Di Renjie was nosy and did not know what Di Renjie was thinking. In the palace, a group of people led by Captain Changsun kept putting pressure on the emperor, asking him to severely punish the queen because the queen's phoenix seal was lost and it was immoral, causing someone to use the phoenix seal to forge an imperial edict and kill Chen Chuliang. The emperor had a splitting headache and could not make a decision, while the queen was beating a wooden fish in the palace to calm down. Di Renjie's discovery at the fire scene made him more determined that the fire was caused by human beings. Wei Wuji was worried about whether Di Renjie could get away and asked about the situation. Seeing that Di Renjie did not believe the miscellaneous news, he told him what he had seen along the way and determined that the queen's new policy was indeed beneficial to the people. He reminded him that in Chang'an City, the queen had touched the interests of most people, so she was targeted, and he and Di Renjie were not the masters of Chang'an City. After hearing this, Di Renjie was inevitably a little depressed. When he returned to the mansion and saw Ma Rong delivering snacks, he skipped her and went back to his room. There was a case outside Chang'an City, and four people were burned to death. Someone said that it was caused by heavenly fire. Di Renjie took Ma Rong and Qiao Tai to watch on the side. When he learned that the coroner had a sudden illness and could not come, he volunteered to try it. He judged that the dead were all men. From the calluses on the hands of the dead, he inferred that this was a farmer. There was no dust in the mouth of the dead. Di Renjie became suspicious and went directly into the fire scene to investigate. The county magistrate wanted to stop him, but Di Renjie had already covered his nose and walked in. He hurriedly asked someone to follow. Di Renjie saw the charred silkworms in the fire scene, but he just passed by them and found a few tufts of tassels and a token. Just as he stretched out his hand to pick them up, the county magistrate's men immediately asked him what he had found. Ma Rong also followed into the fire scene. Seeing this, he immediately screamed to divert the soldiers' attention, allowing Di Renjie to pick up the token smoothly. The county magistrate saw Di Renjie coming out and asked him what he had found. Di Renjie deliberately acted embarrassed and wanted to check the silkworm corpses. The county magistrate refused on the grounds that this case was not his responsibility. At the same time, he hinted that Di Renjie should follow him and quietly reminded Di Renjie that this case could not be investigated at all. It was the people above who were fighting like gods. He advised Di Renjie not to investigate anymore. Seeing Di Renjie's bitter face, he thought that he had not found anything and left with his men. On the way back to Chang'an City, Di Renjie found four horses on the side of the road. There was a special horse that made him guess that it belonged to the Yulin Army.
Episode 3
In order to find out about the Yulin Army that left Beijing on the tenth day of May, Di Renjie disguised himself as a worker and took Ma Rong and Qiao Tai to push a cart of tiles into the archives room. The three were stopped by soldiers because they were unfamiliar with each other. Ma Rong injured another worker who was pushing a cart of bamboo with a hidden weapon, causing the cart to overturn and the bamboo to roll all over the floor. The soldiers immediately let them in impatiently and went to deal with the problem over there. Di Renjie and Qiao Tai entered the archives and split into two groups to find documents. Ma Rong was illiterate and could not use it, so he quietly put a jade pendant in the drawer into his arms. Qiao Tai and Di Renjie did not notice it at all. The archives did not report the repair. The cart of tiles and the opened lock in front of the door made people suspicious. Kang Zhiyi immediately took people in to search, but Di Renjie, Qiao Tai and Ma Rong, who heard the noise, had already left. They learned from this action that four people left Beijing on the tenth day of May. It was initially determined that it was these four Yulin Army who forged the imperial edict to kill Chen Zhuliang and were silenced. The sea beast grape card that Di Renjie picked up at the fire scene was very special. He went to a market with many foreigners to try his luck to see if he could find out its origin. Unexpectedly, a businessman took a fancy to the bronze card in his hand and said that it was a rare item of the Xuanjia Army and hoped that Di Renjie could sell it to him. After returning home, Ma Rong worked hard to practice calligraphy, but the words were hard to describe. Qiao Tai accidentally discovered that there was a mystery on the paper that Ma Rong practiced calligraphy on. He learned that this was because Ma Rong had a beautiful case file, and it was Kang Zhiyi's case file. He couldn't help but admire Ma Rong's luck and immediately went to report to Di Renjie. Di Renjie found out from the case file that Kang Zhiyi's father had committed a crime that year, and it was Chang Sunqing who protected him from being executed. Moreover, Kang Zhiyi entered the palace as a guarantor by Chang Sunqing. He speculated that he was a man of Chang Sunqing, the queen's biggest political enemy. Because he had followed the queen for many years and was deeply trusted, no one suspected him. In fact, it was he who stole the Phoenix Seal and then killed the person who knew about it. Di Renjie told Wei Wuji all this. Wei Wuji bluntly said that Zhangsun Qing's power was as intertwined as a towering tree and could not be cut down at all. However, Di Renjie believed that if he seized the opportunity to attack the internal corruption, he could also cut down the tree. However, doing so would inevitably implicate Hong Liang and Ma Rong and Qiao Tai, which made Di Renjie a little confused about what to choose. Di Renjie was bored and thinking about the lake. He looked up and saw Changsun Qing, and then saw Kang Zhiyi. Kang Zhiyi quickly retracted his gaze, which made Di Renjie a little confused. Then he saw Cao An (played by Wang Likun) walking across the stone bridge. At this time, Bingzhou Xiaodiao came, which reminded Di Renjie of Di Zhixun who jumped into the lake in front of him. Although he jumped into the lake to save him immediately, Di Zhixun, who was determined to die, did not struggle at all and let himself sink to the bottom of the water and eventually drowned. This painful memory made Di Renjie very sad. That night, he drank with Ma Rong and Qiao Tai. After drinking, they left Chang'an. Ma Rong saw that Di Renjie was in big trouble and took Qiao Tai away. After that, he paid attention to Di Renjie's movements and was ready to help at any time. Di Renjie recalled everything he had done when he returned to Chang'an. He had to doubt that this was the arrangement of fate, but he, like his father Di Zhixun, liked to fight against fate. Hong Liang knew this well and advised Di Renjie to give it a try with the remaining five days. On the sixth day, Chang Sun Qing did not say a word after offering sacrifice to the national cypress, refused to get on his horse, and walked back. The officials accompanying him advised Chang Sun Qing not to go any further, took the national cypress from his arms, and complained bitterly about Empress Wu's immorality, which caused the wrath of heaven and implicated the people of Chang'an, and had nothing to do with Chang Sun Qing. Chang Sun Qing loudly blamed the officials, believing that the heavenly fire that scourged the people of Chang'an was naturally related to him as the Grand Marshal. Because he was the Grand Marshal but did not strangle the culprit, he was punished by heaven and made the people suffer. He felt sorry for the people of the world and knelt down in the street. Chang Sun Qing wanted to present the national cypress to the emperor to urge him to severely punish the culprit, and at the same time donated 20,000 strings of incense and candles to Qinglong Temple for a month to pray for the prosperity of the country and the people to enjoy peace forever. Di Renjie pointed out in public that this move was useless and predicted that the sky fire would come again in two days. Faced with Di Renjie's sudden words, Chang Sunqing had to ask what would happen if the sky fire did not appear again. Di Renjie pointed out that the sky fire first burned the queen's favorite sycamore tree, and then burned to death the farmer who raised silkworms for the queen. He predicted that the third time would burn the "Surname Record" to anger Chang Sunqing. Di Renjie asked the students of the Imperial College and Wei Wuji to leave the Imperial College for refuge, but Wei Wuji was worried that the empty house would make Chang Sunqing suspicious, so he insisted on staying to face the danger. Di Renjie led the horse away to attract the attention of the stalker. As he rode faster and faster, the foot cover on the saddle became more and more stuck, making it impossible for him to break free. The horse also became more and more crazy due to the effect of the drug, putting him in danger.
Episode 4
Di Renjie's feet were tied up and he couldn't get off the horse at all. Seeing the cliff right in front of him, he couldn't help sweating anxiously. At the critical moment, Ma Rong and Qiao Tai caught up with the horses. One of them grabbed the horse's head and the other wanted to pull Di Renjie onto his horse, but Di Renjie asked him to let go. Ma Rong discovered the problem and swung his sword to cut the rope on Di Renjie's feet, thus saving Di Renjie. Hong Liang paid to clean up the Di Mansion and had already taken the students of the Imperial College into the Di Mansion. Di Renjie reminded Ma Rong and Qiao Tai not to light candles or make noises at night, so as not to let anyone know that there were people in the Di Mansion. He and Qiao Tai went to the Wei Mansion to guard Wei Wuzhi. Looking at He Dajing's tablet, Di Renjie wanted to have a drink with him, but accidentally discovered that there was no fine wine in He Dajing's wine jar, and that the wine pot that He Dajing carried with him that day was filled with the Yanshi in the wine jar. Di Renjie recalled what he found during the investigation, and discovered that whether it was the documents or the sea beast tablet, they were all what Kang Zhiyi wanted him to see. He suspected that Changsun Qing was not the person behind the scenes, and immediately went to find Wei Wuzhi. Di Renjie first raised the first doubt, pointing out that the fire in Jushui Tower that day, he was the only one who escaped, someone deliberately did it, and Wei Wuji knew that He Dajing liked wine, so he put Yanshi in the wine in advance, thinking of disrupting the imperial examination, but he didn't expect that the imperial examination was not allowed to bring a wine pot, so when He Dajing got the wine pot, the wine in the pot had almost flowed through the small hole. In order to prevent He Dajing from drinking the wine in advance and igniting Yanshi, Wei Wuji applied Coptis chinensis on the mouth of the pot, so the fire that night was deliberately designed by Wei Wuji. Wei Wuji didn't expect that he had calculated everything, but Di Renjie still determined that he was the real person behind the scenes through clues. He chose to self-ignite to strengthen the legend of the sky fire, and wanted to drive out the Empress Wu who ruled as a woman. Di Renjie watched Wei Wuji self-immolate to oppose the new policy and the rule of women, and his eyes were bloodshot, but he couldn't stop it. Hong Liang designed a sophisticated mechanism and waited in the mansion. Sure enough, a group of men in black attacked. With the mechanism, Hong Liang captured several people and knocked down one person, but there were many men in black. Qiao Tai came to help immediately. The two worked together to fight the enemy. At this time, a man in black joined Hong Liang's camp. When Di Renjie asked to leave him alive, he killed him with a sword, deliberately provoked Di Renjie, and led him to meet the queen in a secret place in Chang'an City. Di Renjie quickly threw away the sword in his hand, which made the queen laugh. She said that there were many obstacles to the implementation of the new policy. Fortunately, fate arranged for Di Renjie to appear, so that she had a chance to turn around when she was in danger. She hoped that Di Renjie could find out the truth. The officials of Chang Sunqing's faction forced the emperor to abolish the queen. At this time, all the sky fire incidents pointed to Chang Sunqing. For a time, the situation in Chang'an was turbulent. However, Chang Sunqing still sat firmly in Qinglong Temple and never left. Seeing this, the queen deliberately went into the temple with the emperor to confront Chang Sunqing in person. Zhang Sun Qing believed that the Queen was a witch and firmly opposed the implementation of the new policy. He even spoke nonsense in the temple. The Queen personally stepped forward to negotiate with Zhang Sun Qing, but the two had different political views and could not reconcile at all. Just as the theory of heavenly fire made it impossible for the Queen to gain a foothold, the large candle enshrined in the Qinglong Temple suddenly cracked, and the Phoenix Seal was inside. This was undoubtedly a fatal blow to Zhang Sun Qing. He angrily rebuked him, but such a scene made him unable to fight back. Di Renjie saw through the intricate relationships in the city of Chang'an and knew that the Phoenix Seal had never been lost. It was just that the Queen knew that it would be difficult to implement the new policy, and Chang Sun Qing had put her in danger and she could only design a plan to protect herself. So she set up a plan to make the rumor of the sky fire more and more intense. She originally planned to push the palace maid Sibao and Kang Zhiyi out to bring down Chang Sun Qing, but unexpectedly, Wei Wuji was dissatisfied with the woman in power and carefully designed everything, which was exactly what the Queen wanted. Not only could he use the force to drag Chang Sun Qing into the water, but he could also protect his own confidants. Di Renjie couldn't help but feel heartbroken when he thought about the dozens of lives that died in vain, but what the Queen said made sense. If you want to ask whether the sacrifice of dozens of lives is worth it, you have to ask the people of the world, because the new policy benefits the people, and if Chang Sun Qing is not brought down, the new policy will certainly not be implemented. Di Renjie participated in the imperial examination for Mingjing. The Queen arranged for him to take part in the palace examination, and asked students to write policy essays on the theme of "New". Di Renjie's understanding of the new policy satisfied the Queen, but he had not found the direction in his heart at the moment. The Queen asked him to be the magistrate of Penglai County to find the truth for her, and maybe he could really use it for her in the future. Ma Rong and Qiao Tai went to see the list and learned that Di Renjie was not on the list. They comforted him specially, but they did not expect that Di Renjie was already an official. The two became his followers and followed Di Renjie to take up his post with Hong Liang.
Episode 5
Penglai, Di Renjie found a male corpse as soon as he arrived at Penglai, so he took the corpse with him and arrived when the city gate was about to close. The soldiers guarding the city thought that the time was up and refused to let him enter the city. Qiao Tai argued with him, but people surrounded him instead. Di Renjie immediately revealed his identity and entered the city smoothly. Ma Rong was buying cakes on the street. Di Renjie found that the prices here were much lower than Chang'an and the order was in good order. Although the previous county magistrate was imprisoned for three months for smuggling, he was amazed that the county was still in good order. At this time, Ma Rong found that a woman was applying powder on her face. He was curious and asked the store owner. He unexpectedly learned that it was for beauty, and he couldn't help but remember it in his heart. Teng Kan's poem was the champion of this year's competition. Unexpectedly, he also came to Penglai. Di Renjie was very excited to see an old friend in a foreign land. He was invited to attend Teng Kan's banquet. He saw Cao An and felt that he was very familiar with him. Unexpectedly, he heard Cao An singing Bingzhou Xiaodiao later. Di Renjie was suspicious and left the banquet halfway. He wanted to ask about the four lacquer screens he heard at the banquet, but Teng Kan didn't want to talk about it because of family matters. Di Renjie noticed that Teng Kan wanted to vomit, and stepped forward to pat his back, but Teng Kan didn't let anyone touch his body. Teng Kan's wife Yinlian also retreated back to the house in panic after seeing a sneaky ugly man. All these made Di Renjie suspicious. Hong Liang took the male corpse back for examination. After returning, Di Renjie judged the situation at the time based on the injuries of the deceased and accurately calculated that the deceased died of seven knives, and the deceased was a patient who was cured of leprosy. Ma Rong asked a painter to paint a portrait of the deceased. Seeing that the deceased was dead, the painter refused to work. However, Hong Liang did not give him a chance to refuse. He asked someone to grind ink and watched the painter start working. Soon, the portrait of the deceased was posted. However, because the deceased had suffered from leprosy and his face was disfigured, no one recognized him for a while. Cao An sat in the house facing the mirror, listening to the thunder and lightning outside the door and the heavy rain. She remembered that when she was young, she was chased and almost humiliated. It was Lord Heiyan of the Penghai Gang who saved her. Di Renjie always felt that Cao An looked familiar, so he asked Hong Liang if Di Zhixun had ever had any dealings with officials named Cao before, and learned that Cao Hean was killed for privately minting coins. Hong Liang knew that Di Renjie would never do useless work, so he asked Di Renjie the reason for asking about this, but Di Renjie kept silent. Ma Rong saw someone mocking Di Renjie for posting portraits to find the identity of the deceased on the street. He was so angry that he deliberately stepped on the corner of the man's clothes to make him fall. Seeing that the girl standing next to him was about to be in trouble, Ma Rong rescued the girl and took the man's purse to teach him a lesson. Ma Rong brought his newly bought boots back to the house to find Di Renjie. He was very disappointed to see that Di Renjie was not in the house. He didn't expect Di Renjie to be sitting in the pavilion. Di Renjie heard Ma Rong guess that the rain in the sky would fall in an hour, and said that it would fall in half an hour. He also made a bet with Ma Rong that if he won, he would arrest Ma Rong for theft. At the same time, he reminded Ma Rong, who was painting her face, that those people who painted their faces on the street had leprosy. Ma Rong was so scared that she quickly wiped her face and quietly returned the purse to the man. However, she was beaten with a black stick as soon as she got off the wall and was put in a sack. Ma Rong immediately fought back. The people who came to arrest him were very scared of meeting a tough guy, but they still stated that everyone must abide by the rules of the Ba Zong. Ma Rong thought of Penglai County, which had no backlog of cases, and immediately cooperated to have her tied up and taken to the Ba Zong. The Ba Zong leader saw that Ma Rong was just a little girl and asked people to untie her. He learned that Ma Rong was Di Renjie's man and asked Ma Rong to leave. However, it was easier to invite a god than to send him away. Ma Rong wanted to take back the power of the county magistrate for Di Renjie. This move made the Ba Zong leader sneer and made it clear that he had to follow the rules of the underworld. So he had a drinking contest with Ma Rong, but he didn't expect that a group of people were drunk by Ma Rong. In Teng's mansion, Yinlian was concentrating on writing. There was a man with ten sharp fingernails lying on the window and peeping. He suddenly entered and attacked Yinlian. Yinlian was stabbed several times and fell in a pool of blood. Teng Kan, who was covered in blood in white clothes, also fell to the ground. The housekeeper heard the screams and found something wrong. He quickly called for someone to check. He found that Teng Kan was still breathing, so he asked someone to rescue Teng Kan first, and at the same time ordered the ladies to guard the study tightly and not let anyone in. After Teng Kan woke up, he recalled the tragedy and felt that he had killed Yinlian, so he came to surrender himself. Di Renjie immediately went to the scene to investigate. He judged the scene of the murder through clues and found that Yinlian was also killed by seven knife wounds and there were traces left by the screen. He asked the housekeeper about the whereabouts of the screen and saw that the screen in the warehouse should have been a picture of a couple embracing each other, but it turned out to be a picture of a wife being killed. Combined with Teng Kan's sudden madness and the footprints at the crime scene, he judged that someone else killed Yinlian.
Episode 6
As soon as Di Renjie returned home, Teng Kan knelt down and begged for death. He had always felt that when it rained last night, he was writing in the study but suddenly had a seizure and killed Yinlian. He was in great pain and couldn't help crying with his face covered. He just wanted to die to atone for his sins, but Di Renjie knew that there were many doubts in this case. He persuaded Teng Kan to wait patiently and he would find out the truth. Di Renjie found white powder on Yinlian's hair, ears, and hands through autopsy. Combined with the body that had been moved by someone, he was unwilling to close the case easily and must find the real murderer. Ma Rong won the bet with Ba Zong and got three tokens from Ba Zong, saying that he would do three things for her, but at the same time Ba Zong also had a request, that is, Di Renjie had to solve the case of the unknown male corpse before he would act according to Di Renjie's rules. If he couldn't solve it, then the Jianghu government would have nothing to do with it. Ma Rong was very confident in Di Renjie and agreed to the task immediately. He then took the money he won and bought a pair of boots for Di Renjie. This time Di Renjie accepted it with a smile and quickly went back to his room to change his boots. He knew Ma Rong's habit of stealing things and hinted that Ma Rong should change it, but Ma Rong didn't understand. Teng Kan was immersed in the death of his beloved wife and couldn't extricate himself. He blamed himself and wanted Di Renjie to execute him immediately. For this reason, he mentioned his friendship with Di Zhixun many years ago, hoping that Di Renjie would let him do what he wanted. However, Di Renjie insisted on acting according to the law. He was a little sad to learn that Teng Kan and Yinlian were in love. Teng Kan recalled that night, he was writing in the study, the maid held medicine for him to drink, he felt that he was in good condition today and refused, but the maid said that this was the lady's order and continued to persuade him, which made him manic, and he knocked over many things in the study, which attracted Yinlian to come over after hearing the noise, and carefully endured the fear to comfort Teng Kan. Just as Teng Kan was comforted, the maid noticed that the picture of the couple hugging on the four lacquer screens had turned into a picture of the wife being killed, and everyone was frightened for a while. Teng Kan found that his mania was getting worse, and he was worried that he would really kill his wife as predicted on the lacquer screens, so he ordered people to lock the four lacquer screens in the warehouse, but the tragedy still happened. On the day when the lacquer screens were discovered to have changed, the maid shouted that he was possessed by a ghost. Di Renjie remembered that Teng Kan once said that Yinlian had four sisters before she got married, so he went to visit Lai's house. At that time, only Lai Er Niangzi was still unmarried. She was dressed in white and knew Di Renjie's purpose when she saw him coming. She was very disdainful of Yinlian, saying that she was a promiscuous person who had had an affair with Li Han before marriage. Later, she was tired of Li Han and had him sent to the government. There were many paintings hanging in Lai Er Niang's house, and the painters were all Xu Kai, who was Lai Er Niang's sweetheart. She looked at herself in the bronze mirror with a little idiocy, saying that Xu Kai was originally very handsome but suffered from leprosy, and his appearance was ruined and he disappeared. She only loved Xu Kai so she had never married anyone else. Di Renjie decided to start with the old files and check Li Han. At this time, someone reported that a calligraphy and painting shop was robbed. Di Renjie immediately took Qiao Tai to investigate and found that the calligraphy and painting shop had not lost any property. Di Renjie took back the extra paintings posted on the wall and studied them carefully. He found that there was white powder on the scrolls. Looking at the powder on Yinlian, he found that they were the same. He determined that the male corpse was Xu Kai, and all this was someone who went to great lengths to tell him that all this was related to Xu Kai. Di Renjie combined the characteristics of ragged clothes, dirty body, beggar-like appearance, and the powder on his body, and speculated that the man was in the quarry. At this time, Hong Liang found Li Han's files based on Lai Er Niangzi's words and confirmed that Li Han was doing labor in the suburban quarry because of his crime. Di Renjie immediately took Qiao Tai to the quarry. Ma Rong wanted to follow, but was rejected by Di Renjie. When Di Renjie learned that the token in Ma Rong's hand was given by Ba Zong, he took one to test whether it worked. Chen Shouwei is the person in charge of the quarry. Seeing Di Renjie squatting on the ground studying the powder, he asked Di Renjie to leave, otherwise he would cooperate only if he had a document from the governor. Di Renjie used words to deceive Chen Shouwei, forcing him to cooperate in finding Li Han. Unexpectedly, Li Han had died of leprosy. Di Renjie asked to see the grave, so Chen Shouwei had to take him there. Although Li Han died of illness, Chen Shouwei could not tell the day. Di Renjie found that the grave was new soil, deliberately showed the token, and then left the quarry. Qiao Tai learned that Di Renjie wanted to dig the grave for an autopsy, and he couldn't help but feel troubled. He was worried that the quarry was heavily guarded and he couldn't get in at all. At this time, the soldier who had just followed Chen Shouwei came to help. For the sake of Ba Zong, he guided the two to the grave. As a result, they found a bundle of grass wrapped in a straw mat in the grave. Di Renjie and Qiao Tai immediately went to catch Chen Shouwei and threatened him to cooperate in the investigation.
Episode 7
Di Renjie's appearance of being both an official and a bandit finally frightened Chen Shouwei, and he quickly told him that he had accepted money from others and let Li Han go ten days ago. Di Renjie immediately asked who had paid to redeem Li Han, but Chen Shouwei couldn't tell him, because the man was wearing black clothes and a black hat and didn't say a word the whole time, so he couldn't see him at all. Moreover, he knew that what he was doing was a matter of losing his head, so he wouldn't delve into the other party's origins. Di Renjie asked Qiao Tai to release Chen Shouwei, and he would arrange someone to deal with this person who knew the law but broke it, and took Qiao Tai away. Qiao Tai believed that Li Han had a motive to kill because he hated Yin Lian, which made Di Renjie see that he had made a lot of progress, and Di Renjie also saw that Yin Lian's abnormal behavior at the gate of Tengkan Mansion that day was the panic after recognizing Li Han. Di Renjie remembered what Li Han looked like, and asked Qiao Tai to find a person who looked like a beggar, had leprosy, and had a special appearance, and he wanted to see Yin Lian's true appearance. Di Renjie went to Mingyuefang to find Cao An. Cao An knew that he was upset and couldn't fall asleep, so he lit a stick of incense and played the zither for him to let him fall asleep. When Di Renjie woke up and rushed to Teng Mansion, he saw a piece of white. The housekeeper saw Di Renjie coming and hurried to ask for help. It turned out that Teng Kan had locked himself in Yinlian's room and had not eaten for a day. Di Renjie then learned that Yinlian and Teng Kan had always slept in separate rooms before his death. After Teng Kan opened the door for him, he saw the poem left by Yinlian and asked Teng Kan if he knew Li Han, but unfortunately Teng Kan didn't know him. Teng Kan couldn't help but miss someone when he saw the things in Yinlian's room, so he invited Di Renjie to talk elsewhere. He learned that Li Han had pursued Yinlian, but was sent to prison by Yinlian on a trumped-up charge. He hated Yinlian and suffered from leprosy and looked like a ghost, which was the same as what the maid saw. He couldn't help but be angry. He specially thanked Di Renjie for finding these, so that he was no longer too guilty, and also made him determined to seek revenge on Li Han. Teng Kan was so obsessed with writing poetry that he sometimes stayed in his room for several days, so he didn't know where Yinlian usually went. The housekeeper said that Yinlian used to be at odds with Lai Er Niangzi, but recently she always went back to her parents' home, which made Di Renjie feel something was wrong. After all, Lai Er Niangzi had said that day that since Yinlian flirted with him, the two of them had completely fallen out and had no intersection for a long time. Di Renjie was thinking about how to find the place where women in the city meet their lovers, and Ma Rong found him and led him there directly. The owner of the flower house refused to admit it, and even if Di Renjie revealed his identity, it was useless. In the end, Ma Rong took out the token of Ba Zong, and the owner took them to the room that had been rented out for a long time and provided a place for lovers. Di Renjie saw from the handwriting in the room that it was written by Yinlian, and the lotus flower painted on the wall was Xu Kai's handwriting. Di Renjie concluded that the two often met in secret. Thinking of Li Han's hatred for Yinlian, Di Renjie deliberately climbed the ladder to observe outside the window. He really found sharp claw marks, judging that it was the marks left by Li Han when he saw Yinlian and Xu Kai having sex. Di Renjie went to Lai's house again to find Lai Er Niangzi. Lai Er Niangzi recognized Xu Kai in the portrait and immediately became excited, saying that she had killed Xu Kai, but soon thought of Yinlian again. She recalled that Yinlian made her sober that day, and admitted that Xu Kai's paintings were all Yinlian, which made her angry and quarreled with Yinlian. Di Renjie concluded from Xu Kai's paintings that Xu Kai had always liked Yinlian, and asked Lai Er Niangzi to stop deceiving herself. This made Lai Er Niangzi even more excited. She tore up the paintings made by Xu Kai while crying, and refused to admit that her beloved liked Yinlian. Di Renjie asked Ma Rong to use the third token to let Bazong spread the news that Yinlian was not dead. Li Han, who had been hiding in the dark, heard the news and went to Teng's house at night. He found the pillow on the bed and wanted to leave but it was too late. Di Renjie brought Qiao Tai to take him away and specifically told him not to hurt his life. Unexpectedly, Teng Kan suddenly appeared and killed Li Han to avenge Yinlian. Di Renjie noticed that Li Han touched his belly and called Yinlian's name before he died. He realized something was wrong, so he checked Li Han's nails and found that they were not as sharp as he thought. He was more certain of what he thought, so he went to Cao An as a model to verify it. He found the breakthrough point and left immediately, which surprised Cao An. Di Renjie returned to Teng's house and found Li Han's lost purse in the flowerbed under the stone steps. He saw a strand of hair inside and quickly put it away quietly. When he returned to the morgue, he saw that Yinlian was indeed missing a strand of hair, so he asked Qiao Tai to ask Teng Kan to see Yinlian for the last time.
Episode 8
When Cao An met Di Renjie, he gave all his poems to him, and he would sing them for Di Renjie one by one when he was free in the future. Ma Rong saw that Di Renjie and Cao An knew each other, and immediately stopped between them, asking Di Renjie where he knew Cao An, but Di Renjie ignored her. Instead, after Cao An left, he assigned Ma Rong a task that could not be done at all. Qiao Tai and Hong Liang were very curious, but Ma Rong did not tell them at all and left directly. Di Renjie rushed to Teng Mansion early in the morning. Teng Kan laughed and said that if Di Renjie came a step later, he would not see him. Di Renjie said frankly that Teng Kan would definitely see him today. As the two talked more and more, Teng Kan saw Di Renjie's hostility and directly broke it. Unexpectedly, Di Renjie directly asked about the four lacquer screens, and also revealed the mystery on the screens. He used a sword to scrape off the special materials painted on the screens, revealing their original appearance. Seeing that things were going against him, Teng Kan tried to make amends by talking about his relationship with Yinlian. However, Di Renjie had already found out the truth and bluntly stated that Teng Kan had intentionally spread the rumor that he had insanity, and then modified the screen with a special material that would turn into a color when exposed to hot water. He went to great lengths to plot the killing of Yinlian and to get public opinion to side with him, in order to gain a reputation of loving his wife dearly. However, Di Renjie had already deduced from Yinlian's poems and Teng Kan's recent poems that Teng Kan's inspiration had dried up, so even though he knew that Yinlian had committed adultery with Xu Kai, he still suppressed it and continued to let Yinlian write poems for him, and finally plotted to kill Yinlian. Xu Kai and Yin Lian were both stabbed to death seven times, and "seven" was the number of times they had met in secret as known to Teng Kan. Teng Kan asked himself if he had left any evidence. Although Di Renjie found blood on the whip, he speculated that he wanted to suppress his inner demons so he whipped himself every day, and there must be whip marks on his body. He also tricked Teng Kan into knowing that Li Han was serving in the quarry, and said that it was Lai Er Niangzi who redeemed him. However, since Li Han and Xu Kai were both dead, he had no evidence to arrest Teng Kan, which made Teng Kan very proud. He continued to command the servants to move things, but found that the box where Yin Lian's poems were originally stored was full of stones, which made him anxious. Di Renjie said frankly that he had asked Ma Rong to exchange Yin Lian's poems for stones last night, and now they were on the way to Chang'an. The poems were all in Yin Lian's handwriting, so that everyone in the world would know that Teng Kan was a person who sought fame and reputation. From then on, he was ruined and committed the crime of deceiving the emperor, and he could not escape death. Teng Kan saw himself in such a state, and finally lost his spirit and spirit, and sat directly on the ground, looking sad and crazy. Di Renjie and Qiao Tai rushed to Lai's house, and saw Lai Er Niang chose to trap herself in the building and set herself on fire, and they couldn't help but sigh. Ba Zong saw that Di Renjie successfully solved the case, and thought of his past crimes, he couldn't help but feel guilty, and hurriedly asked Ma Rong about Di Renjie's thoughts. He learned that in the future, whether it was the affairs of the rivers and lakes or the things that Ba Zong couldn't handle, they would be under Di Renjie's jurisdiction, and he didn't dare to say anything more. Di Renjie bought mahogany and made a plectrum by himself for Cao An. He was worried that it would not fit his hand and said that it could be modified. Cao An thought it was very good, which made Di Renjie happy. On the vast ocean, a ship encountered a storm. The route chosen by Wang Lide had never been taken before. The leader of the ship was a little worried. Wang Lide immediately patted his chest to say that everything was fine. But when the leader entered the cabin, he found that all the brothers had fallen down. He immediately guessed that it was Wang Lide's hand. He wanted to turn around and take revenge, but was killed by Wang Lide who had been watching him for a long time. The cook was responsible for cooking. This time he secretly brought his younger brother on board. His younger brother wanted to sneak out to the toilet because of a stomachache. He quickly stuffed a wooden barrel for him and asked him to solve it at the bottom of the cabin. At the same time, he carried a barrel and pressed it on the wooden board. In the end, only the younger brother was not discovered by Wang Lide, and the rest of the people on the ship were killed. Envoy Liu was ordered to come to Penglai to buy. Gu Mengbin quickly asked people to put away the gold and treasures, and also reminded Yi Sishi that he must not mention gold, especially Baekje gold. Unexpectedly, Envoy Liu mentioned at the welcoming banquet that the two things he liked best in his life were singing girls and gold. No matter how eloquent Yi Sishi was, he was stunned when he heard this and quickly explained that Penglai did not produce gold. Di Renjie summoned Gu Mengbin for three consecutive days, but he did not see him coming, so he came here today and met Envoy Liu who came to Penglai to pay a visit. Envoy Liu heard that Di Renjie was looking for Wang Lide, and wanted to see how Di Renjie handled the case. Yi Sishi interfered and asked Cao An to perform a song, and Envoy Liu agreed and left Di Renjie aside.
Episode 9
When Liu Zhongshi heard that it was just a small matter of overdue rent, he thought it was not worth mentioning. However, Di Renjie stated that eighty pairs of contraband Mo Dao were found on Wang Lide's ship, and he asked where these Mo Dao were sold. Gu Mengbin did not admit that he had such a person under his command, and asked Di Renjie to provide evidence. Di Renjie stated that the Gu family had only fifteen ships registered for seagoing this month, but twenty ships had purchased Minghui. Everyone knows that Minghui is used for waterproofing, which means that there are not only Ming ships but also hidden ships, and even that the Gu family has connections in the government. Upon hearing this, Yi Sishi immediately stood up to defend himself and asked Di Renjie to explain clearly, otherwise it would be a smear on him. Liu Zhongshi also judged from Di Renjie's words just now that if this was true, Yi Sishi would be guilty of embezzlement, and Gu Yibin would be guilty of collaborating with the enemy. As soon as this was said, Yi Sishi and Gu Mengbin quickly cried out for injustice, while Liu Zhongshi planned to go back to rest on the grounds that he was exhausted. Di Renjie asked Gu Mengbin to stay and cooperate with the investigation, making Liu Zhongshi feel that he suspected that he was covering up. Ma Rong and Qiao Tai sneaked into the fenced tent and found many treasures inside. In their excitement, the rope loosened, causing the entire tent cloth to fall, exposing the two people, and they were quickly captured by the soldiers. In a hurry, the two hurriedly shouted "Ming Fu" and asked Di Renjie for help. Yi Sishi saw that the treasures were exposed and wanted to quietly tell Liu Zhongshi that these were treasures presented to him, but Liu Zhongshi didn't buy it at all, and quietly handed the queen's secret order to Di Renjie. It turned out that the recent influx of Baekje gold into the capital has become a bargaining chip for the rebels to buy people's hearts, making the queen very passive, so Di Renjie was asked to find out the truth within a month, otherwise he would be guilty of the same crime as the gold case. The dock was bustling with activity. Suddenly, an unmanned ship approached, like a ghost ship that suddenly appeared, scaring the people to flee in panic. Eventually, the ship crashed into the dock and stopped. Liu Zhongshi grew up by the sea and recognized that this was a typical Tang ship, but no one claimed it. Yi Sishi boarded the ship to check and found that there were only worthless goods such as furs on the ship. There was no fighting and no survivors. He couldn't help but say that this ship was a ghost ship. At this time, Liu Zhongshi took out two gold beans and asked people to distinguish the difference. Gu Mengbin and Yi Sishi both pretended to be stupid and said they didn't know. Only Di Renjie could tell that the smooth one was Baekje gold and the rough one was sand gold. He volunteered to board the ship to check. From the current situation on the ship, he inferred that this ship was used to lift heavy objects. He was suspicious because he found that the rice bucket was placed in a leaking place, and then he found the Baekje people under the cabin. Although the Baekje people looked very scary, they were just starving and still had a breath. After treatment, they were able to talk back. Di Renjie knew that Yusu was from Baekje, so he specially asked her to be an interpreter. When the survivor told him about the strange route of the ship and that it had stayed on a white island for a few days in the middle, Gu Mengbin immediately became anxious and accused the Baekje people of having bad intentions. Unexpectedly, the Baekje people also drew a tattoo of the gang on the ship, which was a black flame. Di Renjie was emotional when he saw this, because it was his father Di Zhixun who led the team to suppress the bandits, but was forced to commit suicide. Yi Sishi took advantage of his position to kill all the Baekje people who leaked the secret. He did not dare to use knives and guns, so he asked people to provide a lot of food, and choked the hungry Baekje people to death. When Di Renjie learned about it, he was furious but had no way to deal with it. Unexpectedly, a Baekje man named Jin Sang floated to the seaside. He said that he was the survivor on the ship and identified Wang Lide as the murderer. He also mentioned the white island. At the same time, he said that he overheard someone saying that the Baekje gold on the ship was related to Gu Mengbin, Yi Sishi, and Di County Magistrate. Di Renjie was innocent. Although he was accused by Jin Sang, he also confirmed the existence of the island from Jin Sang's confession, but no one admitted to seeing the island. At this time, there was news that a ghost ship appeared on the dock. Di Renjie and Hou Zhongtang went on board to check. After fighting with the masked man in black, they got Wang Lide's star disk and nautical chart. They found that the island mentioned by Jin Sang and Baekje was indeed marked on the chart. They immediately reported to Liu Zhongshi, and several people quickly sent a ship out to sea to verify. Liu Zhongshi enjoyed himself and asked Cao An to get on board. Di Renjie kindly reminded Cao An to find an excuse not to get on board, but Cao An was somewhat curious about him because of the two encounters with Hei Yan when she was a girl. In addition, Liu Zhongshi's official position was too high to refuse, so he still got on board. When the ship encountered a storm, people could not stand steadily, and Liu Zhongshi asked them to sing a song, which made Di Renjie feel pity.
Episode 10
The ship encountered a storm, not only did the mast break, but also people fell into the sea, which would not happen under normal circumstances. Gu Mengbin realized that someone had tampered with the ship, and there must be a traitor in the team, and he could not help but be furious. Di Renjie wrote down the current situation in detail, and if something happened to him, he would have someone present it to the queen. Hou Zhongtang acted calmly to stabilize the morale of the army. Besides, there were sufficient supplies on the ship, so there would be no shortage of food even if they were trapped for a few days, and the supply ship would come to help soon, so there was no need to worry. Di Renjie brought a carrier pigeon when he went out to sea, thinking that it was just in case, but he didn't expect it to be really used. He hoped that the carrier pigeon could bring the news of their being trapped and let people come to support. Yusu went to get water for Cao An. The Yulin Army relied on their status and wanted to take advantage of Yusu. Fortunately, Qiao Tai found out and quickly rescued Yusu. The Yulin Army heard Ma Rong shouting that Hou Zhongtang was here and left quickly. Ma Rong looked at Qiao Tai's considerate look and saw that he liked Yusu, and couldn't help but smile secretly. Liu Zhongshi suddenly interrogated Jin Sang, saying that he suddenly remembered his childhood fishing skills last night. If a big fish is hooked, you must use a fork to get out in time. He reminded Jin Sang with words that he must spit out something today. Jin Sang said that he had experienced what happened last night and suddenly remembered that Wang Lide said that he had a singing girl on the shore. Liu Zhongshi asked Jin Sang to identify her, but Jin Sang had never seen her in person, so he naturally couldn't recognize her, but he knew that the singing girl was from Baekje. Yu Su fainted on the spot when she heard this. Liu Zhongshi ignored all this and directly asked people to torture her. Everyone couldn't bear to hear Yu Su's screams, and finally Yu Su fainted under the torture. Cao An couldn't bear it and wanted to come forward to rescue her. Di Renjie hinted to her not to act rashly, and he whispered to Yu Su to tell the truth. Yu Su admitted that Wang Lide said that this trip would take one or two months, and he would bring a large sum of money to redeem herself. When Liu Zhongshi heard this, he suspected that no one on the ship was telling the truth, and forced Di Renjie to find clues quickly. Di Renjie said that Yi Sishi sailed out to sea late at night on the day when the ship had an accident. Liu Zhongshi immediately asked about it. It happened that the ship suddenly encountered a heavy fog at this time. For safety, everyone went back to their rooms. Yi Sishi sneaked out while the fog was heavy. After the fog cleared, he was found hanging on the mast. Di Renjie thought this was really suspicious, so he told Yi Sishi about his doubts, and Yi Sishi died. Gu Mengbin was frightened by Yi Sishi's death. He didn't dare to live in his own room, so he lived in his subordinates' room and let the three of them protect him closely, and then he found a sense of security. Di Renjie saw Gu Mengbin using the star board to determine the route. By comparison, he found that Wang Lide's star board had problems, but in the same way, they were lucky to sail on the correct course without a mast along the ocean current. Qiao Tai felt sorry for Yu Su. He firmly believed that such a kind girl would not be a bad person. He secretly went to see Yu Su without telling anyone and fed her water medicine. Ma Rong reminded Qiao Tai not to cause trouble for Di Renjie. At this time, they found that Bai Kai secretly went to the place where Yu Su was imprisoned. It turned out that Bai Kai was also a Baekje. He felt that Yu Su knew too much and would eventually confess under torture. He wanted to kill Yu Su first. Qiao Tai appeared in time, saved Yu Su, and exposed Bai Kai's identity. Bai Kai was forced to the side of the boat and said that Yu Su knew nothing and hoped that everyone would let her go. At the same time, he refused to believe what Di Renjie said that Baekje would perish, refused to confess the senior officials in the court who could provide weapons, and turned and jumped into the sea. Yu Su saw Bai Kai jumping into the sea, and she couldn't help but feel sad. She cried and hoped to call Bai Kai back, but Bai Kai could not come back. Di Renjie pleaded for Yusu, allowing her to go back to the cabin to rest. Cao An was heartbroken when he heard that Yusu was also terrified in her dream. Di Renjie clearly advised Cao An not to get on the boat, but she still came and encountered so many things, which made Di Renjie very puzzled. Yusu mentioned Wang Lide to Cao An, saying that he was just ugly, but in fact he was kind to her. Before leaving, he specially found new songs from the capital to play for her. When the two were together, she looked like a guest, while Cao Lide looked like a singing girl. Gu Mengbin bribed Liu Zhongshi without telling Di Renjie and Hou Zhongtang. He told Di Renjie what had happened recently, and discredited Di Renjie for having something to hide, so he led everyone on the boat to kill Yi Sishi, who knew the truth, and asked Qiao Tai, who had secretly visited Yusu several times, to force Bai Kai to jump into the sea.
Episode 11
After nightfall, several small boats moved forward in the dark, gradually gathering to surround the official ship in the middle of the sea. The leader was wearing a black robe and black armor, wearing an animal head mask, and staring at the distance with a pair of black eyes, as if ready to give orders at any time. Jin Sang took advantage of the situation and bit the porcelain bowl of rice into pieces, used the broken porcelain pieces to open the shackles and escape from the cage, and held the soldiers hostage to interrogate Yu Su's whereabouts. Then he took Hou Yu as a hostage and ordered Di Renjie to bring Yu Su to exchange. When the two sides were deadlocked, they suddenly heard "a ship is coming", and Jin Sang hurriedly blew the whistle. Di Renjie realized it later and was about to remind everyone to be on guard, but a rain of arrows was coming towards them. The officers and soldiers were unable to dodge and suffered heavy casualties. Regardless of his own safety, Hou Yu urged Di Renjie to inform the Yulin Army. Di Renjie had to turn back and found that Gu Mengbin was seriously injured and blew himself up when he was dying. He should not have coveted gold with Yi Sishi to supply the ship to Wang Lide, and ended up like this. At this moment, there was still a fierce fight on the ship. After a moment of distraction, Di Renjie quickly regained his composure and commanded the Yulin Army to defend against the enemy. For a while, the enemy ship's offensive weakened, and the officers and soldiers brought Yusu in time, and Jin Sang's hostage changed from Hou Yu to Yusu. On the other side, Hei Yan led a group of people to rush to the official ship. During the period, he saw Cao An hiding in the corner. Seeing his panic, he did not kill him, which made Cao An unconsciously fall into a memory. Di Renjie personally negotiated with Jin Sang to try to rescue the hostages. Jin Sang thought the situation was settled and no longer had any concerns about admitting that he was a member of the Black Flame. In order to deceive Wang Lide to plunder the gold, he pretended to be a survivor of Baekje to divert their attention, and even deliberately left the navigation chart and damaged the mast to isolate the official ship. While talking, the masked man suddenly appeared and hijacked an officer and looked at Di Renjie to thank him for revealing the secret of the gold to him. Jin Sang put his knife to Yusu and asked about the location of the gold. Hou Yu took the opportunity to seize the arrow and shoot Yusu, which caught everyone by surprise. In the chaos, Jin Sang was shot to death, and the masked man jumped off the boat and fled. Cao An followed the masked man all the way until he was safe and sound. But Hou Yu never wanted to stop. After Liu Zhongshi arrived, he slandered Di Renjie on the spot for colluding with foreign enemies and was determined to kill him in public. Because Ma Rong and Qiao Tai were both subdued and could not get close to Di Renjie, they heard Hou Yu's order and dozens of arrows rushed out in unison. At the critical moment, Di Renjie grabbed Cao An and jumped directly into the turbulent sea. Ma Rong and others were extremely sad and shouted Di Renjie's name, but unfortunately the two completely disappeared in the vast ocean, as if the shocking scene just now had never happened. Di Renjie sank into the sea and had difficulty breathing. The scene of his father jumping into the river appeared in his mind, like the revolving lantern of life he saw before his death. Fortunately, Cao An was very good at swimming and swam ashore with Di Renjie. The two survived and stayed on the shore to burn a fire to keep warm, waiting for Hong Liang's rescue. Di Renjie guessed that Cao An came on the boat to see someone, and even talked to her about his life experience. Cao An was very worried, silently looking at the dark sea, and humming Bingzhou Xiaodiao. A few days ago, Di Renjie found Wang Lide's body that had been rotting for many days. Hong Liang and others also arrived at the first time and reported to him about Yi Sishi's night patrol at sea. Di Renjie connected the clues provided by Yu Su before her death, cleverly used the music score to solve the mystery, and finally locked a key figure. He was also a mysterious man who had one of the three nautical charts. The other two were in the hands of Hei Yan and Wang Lide. According to the "Tide Records", Penglai will have a strange tide every hundred years. When the tide occurs, the low tide water level can retreat more than ten miles to form a trench. Now another hundred years have passed. Di Renjie calculated that the tide will be today. He must have thought of something, and rode alone to the trench. Sure enough, he saw his old friend Hou Yu disguised as a mysterious man.
