Episode 1
In a corner of a busy downtown, many children gathered around a young man and watched him perform magic tricks, turning one dollar into three dollars, which amused the children. The young man's name is Shi Hui, and he is a car repair mechanic. On this day, he played with the neighborhood children in his free time and treated everyone to soda. Hui has a cousin named Su Dacheng, who works as a cigarette salesman. The two are like brothers and often walk together. Hui lives with his biological mother Fang and grandfather Peng. Peng is a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and often teaches Hui to practice kung fu to keep fit. However, Hui and Cheng often get into trouble and fight outside. On this day, Hui and Cheng were fighting with bad guys outside again. Cheng was angry and beat the other party, but he was also slightly injured. When he returned home, Peng knew that the two had fought and scolded them. When Hui learned that Cheng was in danger, he rushed home to get a weapon to help him, but Fang discovered the matter and stopped him. Hui was quick-witted and appeared in the teahouse with a newspaper under his arm. Fei thought Hui was carrying a weapon and did not dare to act rashly. He fled in a rage. Zhou Tong is Hui's childhood friend. They live next door and work in a garment factory. There is a colleague named Zhen. Cheng pursues Zhen very much. The four of them are just like two pairs of happy little enemies. Tong lives with her father You and her aunt Qi. There is also a grandmother Qun who is a live-in maid. Occasionally, she also comes home for dinner. You is a gambler. When he wins money, he will squander it to treat guests. Peng and his family also come to have fun. You's old gambling friend Jiang Si just escaped from the mental hospital and stayed at Zhou's house. Tong has a fear of Jiang.

Episode 2
Tong thought Jiang looked scary, but recalled that Jiang often took her to play with him when she was a child. From his father's friends, she knew that Jiang was also a con man. However, more than 20 years ago, he was beaten up and hit on the head for exposing someone's cheating. He suffered a serious concussion and became stupid and spent half his life in a mental hospital. Jiang has a son, but he is disobedient and unfilial and refuses to take his father in. Jiang has a miserable life. Although Tong knows that he has been in a mental hospital, she still sympathizes with him. Fang turned out to be the wife of Shi Qitai, the general manager of Yongkangtang Pharmaceutical Factory. His son Shi Hui often complains about himself and feels unfair for his mother. Tai is too busy with work to take care of Fang and her son. He feels sorry for Fang and understands why Hui has a stubborn personality. He also has to deal with the responsibilities that he has not fulfilled as a father. Fang felt stomach pain and asked Hui to go to Yongkang Hall to get medicine from Tai. Hui contradicted his father again and left in anger. Tai had to personally deliver the medicine to Fang that night. Cheng and others dragged Peng to the movies early in the morning, fearing that Peng would be angry when he saw Tai. Unexpectedly, because Jiang was stupid, they had to return home. Tai was insulted by Peng in person. Hui wanted to defend his father at this time, but Peng's tough character still insisted on his own way and never forgave Tai's past behavior. Fang saw that she could not help Tai, but her father was stubborn and could not help crying secretly. Jiang was confirmed to have mental problems. Everyone wanted to try to drive him away, but Tong opposed it and wanted to continue to take in Jiang. Hui had to secretly try to trick Jiang into a mental hospital, but Tong knew about it and scolded Hui.

Episode 3
Hui wanted to send Jiang back to the mental hospital without telling Tong, but Tong exposed the matter. Hui was strongly accused and scolded by Tong. Hui had good intentions, but Tong misunderstood and the two quarreled. However, Hui always cared for Tong and bought a small turtle for Tong to apologize. The two reconciled immediately. In the canteen of the hospital, Hui met Yung's Qian for the first time. The two were cousins, but had never met. Qian's father Kun was the adopted son of the Yung family. He and Hui's father Tai were both directors of Yongkangtang. Hui saw Qian's beauty when he first saw her. He never thought that they all went to the hospital to visit Tong's grandmother Qun. They met each other through Qun's introduction. Qian worked as a pharmacist in a pharmaceutical factory. Her father Kun often had affairs outside, but her mother Ying did not care. Qian felt a little sorry for her mother. Tai's second son Yongxi studied abroad and said he would return to Hong Kong after completing his master's degree. Xi's foster father Xuan had a daughter Qiuwen, who had always admired Xi's talent and was very excited to hear about it. Jiang's unusual behavior scares Qi day and night, and An finally considers calling the police to solve the problem, but no one else knows that An has called the police to arrest Jiang. The police arrive at the scene and surround Zhou's family. Tong is at home with Jiang. Jiang has a mad attack and wants to set himself on fire. Hui subdues Jiang at the critical moment. Tong watches Jiang being arrested by the police and is sad.

Episode 4
Jiang was sent back to the mental hospital. Tong had to tell his friend about Jiang's escape. His friend sighed and Tong was also traumatized. Tong returned to the factory. The supervisor deliberately changed her position. Tong was dissatisfied and quarreled with the supervisor. Qun went home to rest for a few days. Qian knew that Qun was discharged from the hospital and went to visit her alone. They talked and reminisced about the happy times of their childhood. An went to Qi's ice house to invite her to dinner. The two went to the restaurant to taste seafood. After dinner, they went home and felt uncomfortable in their stomachs. Qun took Yongkang pills for them to take. Not only did they not get better, but they had diarrhea. The two families couldn't sleep all night. Peng saw An in such pain and suspected that it must be caused by Yongkang pills. He rushed An to the hospital for emergency treatment. Tong and his friend also sent Qi to the hospital. In the emergency room of the hospital, Peng shouted to the doctor that the patient was caused by taking Yongkang pills, and said that Yongkangtang was suspected of selling fake medicine. After hearing this, the doctor decided to complain to the Medical and Health Department after consultation, and the authorities sent people to the pharmacy for inspection. The Medical and Health Department sent two assistants to Yongkang Hall to conduct a random survey. The authorities claimed that the sale of drugs would be stopped during the investigation. Qian and Wen also felt that this was sudden. Xuan was not there, so Tai asked Qian to do a self-test at the same time. Tai had doubts and went to find An to find out the truth, but he almost had a conflict with Peng again. Tai was misunderstood by Peng as selling fake drugs and was indignant. Peng bluntly said that An almost died because of taking Yongkang pills and blamed Tai. Fang defended Tai and advised him to leave first, but Peng still kept scolding.

Episode 5
An got better. When Fang asked him about it, An had no choice but to confess that he had had seafood dinner with Qi last night. He might have eaten dirty food and it had nothing to do with Yongkang Pills. Everyone felt relieved after hearing this. Peng was still half-believing and half-doubting, thinking that Tai was too much. Tai invited Fang to have afternoon tea. The couple looked at each other. Fang said that An's diarrhea was caused by food poisoning. Tai mentioned Hui's work to Fang. He knew that Hui was smart by nature, but unfortunately he had a bad temper. He had no future as a mechanic in a garage. As a father, Tai was also sad to see his own son fall into such a state. Xuan came back from collecting herbs and learned that the pharmaceutical factory was being thoroughly investigated by the authorities. He became flustered. It turns out that Kun and the director of the purchasing department, Mak Ying-chiu, are in cahoots with each other. Mai's three subordinate masters rely on their experience and arrogant attitude. They secretly use inferior products to make products and enrich themselves. Mai can't do anything about it. At this time, Xuan finally sees through it. Kun takes advantage of the situation and instigates Qian and Wen to make a big deal out of the incident. At the same time, he conspires with Mai to ask the three masters to resign at the same time. Qian and Wen believe that official affairs should be handled impartially and a thorough investigation must be carried out. However, Tai and Xuan believe that such an approach will lead to greater losses. Kun advises Tai to retain the three masters, and Tai has no choice.

Episode 6
Pik received a telegram from her son Hei and learned that he would return to Hong Kong from the United States with his grandfather Rong Huaibang. She was busy tidying up Hei's room, installing a new air conditioner for Hei, buying a new RV, etc., and was very busy. Tai invited Fang to lunch and told her the news that Hei was coming to Hong Kong. He would hold a banquet to welcome Hei and invited Fang and Hui to come. Fang refused, and Tai was not willing to force her. The Shi family went to the airport to meet them. They saw Bang and Hei returning together and chatting happily. Pik and Hei had not seen each other for many years and could not help but shed tears. Hei saw that Qian had changed a lot and almost didn't recognize her. Hei went home and said that she bought a T-shirt for Hui and hurried to visit his aunt and brother. Pik wanted to stop him but couldn't stop him and couldn't help feeling sad. When Fang saw Hei, she was also surprised. Hei mentioned the welcoming banquet again and asked Fang and Hui to attend together, but Fang refused with an excuse. Hui came back from work after Hei left, and the two did not meet. The lively banquet was attended by the Shi family's relatives and friends and a group of staff from Yongkang Hall. The hall was full of guests. Bi greeted the guests everywhere, excited and proud of her son's master's degree in the United States. Seeing that Fang and Hui had not arrived yet, Xi drove to pick them up. Xi tried her best to persuade Fang to leave, but Fang still refused to attend. Xi had no choice but to leave. As soon as she went downstairs, she met Hui and lied to Hui that Fang had arrived. Hui was half-believing and half-doubting, so Xi pulled her into the car. As soon as Hui entered the venue, Bi looked at him coldly. Xi called Fang again to tell her that Hui had arrived. Fang was afraid that Hui would cause trouble, so she hurried over. Seeing that Fang and Hui came uninvited, Bi teased them. Hui was humiliated and scolded Bi. Tai slapped Hui in the face.

Episode 7
Hui couldn't bear the humiliation and hurried out of the door. Fang couldn't stop him. Xi followed him. Hui walked away angrily without looking back to pay attention to Xi. Xi tried to persuade Hui as he walked, but Hui was barbaric and willful and pretended not to hear. The two went to the beach and argued and disturbed people fishing. Hui was the first to complain and kicked someone into the sea. He asked Xi to save him. However, Xi didn't know how to swim. Hui jumped into the sea to save him. The other party pretended to ask Hui's address and threatened to sue the police. Xi went home and told Bang and Tai about Hui pushing someone into the sea. The two thought that if Hui continued like this, he would run into trouble sooner or later. If they didn't teach him a lesson, he would be beaten to death by the evil people. Bang asked Xi to persuade Hui to apologize to Tai. Hui refused to see Tai. Fang tried to persuade him, but it was useless. At this time, the police sent someone to the door and said that someone had accused Hui of premeditated murder. Hui knew that this was the aftermath of pushing someone into the sea a few days ago, and angrily returned to the police station to record his statement with the spirit of a real man. Xi knew that Hui was in trouble, so he hurried to tell Tai. Bi heard that he was gloating, and finally Xuan asked Bang to come forward and propose an out-of-court settlement with the other party. Xuan arranged a first drink for Hui to settle the matter, and Fang was relieved. Unexpectedly, Hui was still naughty at the banquet, and took out an inflatable bubble to give to the other party, and made a face as a joke, which made the other party laugh and cry.

Episode 8
After Xuan dealt with Hui's matter, he invited the two mothers and sons to his home for a reunion. In fact, he wanted Hui to admit his fault to Tai. Everyone talked harmoniously and it was lively. Since then, Xi and Hui no longer had any grudges in their hearts. They invited Tong, Cheng and others to play on the beach. Several young men played together and were very happy. Hui and Xi also competed in driving motorcycles, just like when they were playing together when they were children. Xi also somewhat noticed the feelings between Hui and Tong at this time. When asked about Hui's impression of Tong, Hui avoided the question. Tai was afraid that the pharmaceutical factory business would fall into the hands of others, so he wanted Xi to join Yongkang Hall to help. Xi also understood his father's difficulties, so he had to agree to serve as his father's assistant first, and then take the real job when he had a good grasp of the company's situation. Kun knew that Xi joined Yongkang Hall, which invisibly hindered the development of his ambitions. Of course, he was very angry. He went home and yelled at Ying. Ying was weak in character and just accepted it and was innocently humiliated. One day, Qian and Wen were walking through the red light district and saw Kun escorting a woman to a nightclub. Qian felt something was fishy and decided to find out the truth, so she asked Xi and Hui to go to the "Mei Kaza Nightclub" together. Hui asked the waiter and learned that Kun had known the nightclub dancer Bai Lisha for five years and took her as his black market mistress. Kun often went to the nightclub to show his support and had close contact with Bai. Qian knew that her father had an affair outside, so she went home to report it to Ying, but Ying had already known about it. Qian didn't want her mother to be humiliated, so she questioned Kun in person, and Kun was furious.

Episode 9
Qian scolded her father to his face, and Kun was furious in court, saying that Ying knew about it but didn't care, so his daughter interfered. Qian was helpless. This matter was known by Qun, who told the whole story without restraint. Bang was shocked. Tai wanted to persuade Kun for Ying, but Bi accused Tai of being immoral and keeping a woman outside. Tai felt bored. Bang accused Kun to his face and had to admit his mistake. Bang also asked Kun to settle the matter as soon as possible. Kun was annoyed, so he summoned Xi to persuade Qian. Xi had no choice but to do it, but Qian accused him of being unprincipled. Xi was angry. Qian asked Xuan to move to her house with her mother for a few days. Xuan didn't dare to make his own decision at first, but Qian insisted that Xuan had to help them just to protest against his father. Qian went to find Hui and asked Hui to help move the house. Hui asked Xi to come with him, but Xi hesitated and secretly informed Kun. Kun hurried back home after hearing the news. Qian Qiang dragged her mother and the luggage out of the house. They just met Kun on the street. Kun strongly criticized Ying for being too outrageous. Ying was in a dilemma. Finally, she got on the car with Hui and others and drove straight to Feng's house. Kun stared at the truck alone, feeling resentful. After Ying left, Kun was alone at home and began to feel sad. He had no choice but to feign illness to trick Ying back. Ying was soft-hearted by nature. How could she bear it after being married for many years? Ying hurried home to check on Kun's condition. Seeing Ying doing good and bad things, Kun swore to admit his mistakes. Seeing that her husband knew his mistakes, Ying also went to persuade Qian. Qian was still half-believing and half-doubting, hesitating.

Episode 10
Ying went to persuade Qian to go home. Qian was still resentful, but she still followed her mother home. In fact, Qian also knew that Kun was just faking illness to offer advice. Xi knew that Qian had returned home, so she hurried to see him. Knowing that Qian was unhappy, she asked her to go to the movies. Kun was secretly happy to see that the two of them had a good relationship. If one day they really got together, it would always be good for him. You learned that several wealthy guests from Japanese conglomerates came to Hong Kong and were interested in competing with local masters. You and his friends formed a group and resolutely accepted the invitation, but each person had to raise 40,000 yuan to cooperate in gambling. You had to ask for money everywhere. You went to Shi's house to ask Qun for money for emergency use. Qun thought that You must be gambling, so he refused to lend him money. At this time, Tai just came back. You bit the bullet and asked Tai, but Qun deliberately instigated and sabotaged, causing You to leave in anger. There is always a way out. You finally came up with a clever plan. He borrowed money from Uncle Ji at the pawnshop to take over the taxi business. Ji was also interested in investing, but the sum of 40,000 yuan was so large that he asked You to find a guarantor to sign. Seeing that the money was about to be in his hands, You had no choice but to ask Peng to be his guarantor. Peng saw that You had a sense of friendship and resolutely signed the loan agreement as a guarantor. You was ready for the appointment in a well-tailored suit. He first went to the temple to ask for a fortune and hoped that the Bodhisattva would bless him. He was full of confidence, as if he had a sure win. The Japanese gamblers were wealthy, and You and others lost every battle. Everyone saw their money turning into water and broke into a cold sweat, but You was the only one who remained calm and responded to the challenge!!
